I made this dessert to critical acclaim from our amazing hosts in Melbourne on our last night. On top of being the most decadent chocolate ending to a meal you could as for, the individual servings are a great presentation.Read More
Does it count as a roadtrip when it's a one-day excursion?
With views like these, I'm sure it's a fair label. Just 4 hours on the scenic route and 2.5 on the quick roads back to Melbourne, the Great Ocean Road and 12 Apostles are not to miss in this stunning part of the world, even in the dead of Aussie winter.
The helicopters are a must-do, run by our nicest-guy-in-the-world friend Rich. The view from the ocean back towards the Apostles is the only vantage that truly does it justice.

I've always thought Taz on Looney Tunes was just the most random critter and for the longest time, I also thought it was made up, as was Tasmania (not to be confused with Transylvania, also thought imaginary). Not true!
Tasmania, as it turns out, is a barely touched piece of land just south of mainland Australia and a short 1-hour hop on a plan from Melbourne. It's lush fields are roamed by sheep and cows, horses and probably llamas (also a few devils), kept in line by the hardest working kewpies and cattle dogs. It serves up the freshest produce, meats, fish and shellfish from its land and pristine waters. You can honestly, really taste the difference.
We didn't make it to Hobart this time, but to no surprise, somewhat of a gastonomical renaissance has taken place in Tassie's biggest city. Bookmarked!
Costa Rica is a beautiful country. The phenomenal surf draws millions of people there each year, and the land entices a few to stay forever. And they live by a phrase that's characteristically optimistic, "pura vida"—full of life.

Honestly, there's something in the water in California. Especially amidst a rainy, muggy May when all you can think and dream of are sunny beaches and sparkling water, the California girl spirit is a breath of fresh air (hellooooo Katy Perry).
It just so happens that two of my favorite sunshine state designers at the mo' not only share a penchant for completely livable and effortlessly chic silhouettes, they also share a name. I'm having a paperdoll moment looking at both their collections.

A great bolognese recipe is a family heirloom—and since the secret recipes that have been passed down to me for the most part are super complex Chinese dishes, I opted to create a good meat sauce on my own. And it doesn't even require a slow cooker! (though I have my eye on this) Here we go:Read More
It's spring in Shanghai, which means rain, rain, and oh wait—yeah some more rain. Saw this awesome Pasotti Ombrelli bad boy in a boutique down the street though, which could possibly make things better.
